Highlights of 2011

Here are some of the highlights of 2011:

In January:

Jon made a New Year's resolution to stop drinking, and guess what now that it is 2012 I can say that he did it! I'm so proud of him and I hope he keeps the strength to keep going :) Also Grayson and I flew to Texas to see, my mom and Jason. They were living there at the time. This was Grayson first plane ride and he did fantastic, he basically slept the whole time. It was the worst plane experience I have ever had. I have flown LOTS of times too! We got laid over in the Denver airport for over 5 hours on the way to Texas (due to the plane breaking down). Grayson was  only 14 months at the time and didn't even get ornery when we were stuck in the airport either. On the way home from Texas we were laid over for 3 hours (due to the pilot not showing up) and Grayson was a trooper again! While we were visiting my mom in dad in Texas, we drove the 9 hour trip up to Missouri to visit my dad's side of the family which I haven't seen in 8 years and they had never met Grayson or Jason. It was so great to see them again, I miss that side of my family dearly. My Uncle Darrell also had cancer at the time (he is now in remission), so it was nice to see him.

In February:

Grayson got tubes put into his ears.

In March:

Nicole Got baptized on the 5th. And she also opened a small sewing business on Facebook, Colie's Green Sensations. Grayson got his adenoids taken out too.

In April:

Nicole's dog that her and her family have had since 2001, had to be put down at the age of 11. He was the best dog I could ever ask for, I miss him deeply. Jon taught Nicole how to drive stick. And we went to General Conference for the 1st time with two of our best friends, Richard and Steph.

In June:

Jon turned 23. Jon, Grayson, Steph, Damain, and I went to Yellowstone. It was all our first time. It was amazing, still if there was snow in some parts of the park. We saw lots of Bise ( That's what Damian calls Bison), deer, a eagle, and even a mama bear and her 2 cubs. Another bear even walked through our campsite! (I need to upload all my pics from Yellowstone onto my computer so I can put them on Facebook, I got some great shots!)

In July:

Jon's parents bought us memberships to the aquarium

In August:

Nicole turned 26. And Jon and Nicole got to got to the Tim McGraw concert at the Usana amphitheater. This was the 2nd year in a row we got to go!!! Grayson also got to ride a pony for the first time.

In September:

Jon and I celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary!

In October:

Grayson and I flew to Ohio, to vist Malena (one of my best friends). This was the 2nd time Grayson had flown, he didn't do as good as the first time since he is more independent now but he didn't do to bad! Grayson was also a puppy for Halloween.

In November:

Grayson turned 2! He has a puppy themed birthday party. Grayson got birthday money from his Grandpa Moore, so he used some of it to buy a pass to the zoo! This is really cool, he would live there if he could. He loves animals, and goes around saying "zoo, zoo" all the time. He also got his 2nd set of tubes put in.  And we also went to Vegas to visit our good friends Tara and Jesse for Lily's b-day (Lilly is there daughter that turned 2 the day after Grayson). It was nice to see them again, since they live in Arizona and we only get to see them about once a year.

In December:

We went with our neighbors across the street to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas concert at the conference center. We got to spend Christmas this year with my parents in Elko, we had a great Christmas. With money we got for Christmas from my dad we bought passes to Clarks Planetarium, and Thanksgiving Point (the Dino museum and Farm country). We are so excited to have things to do throughout 2012!  Also, Grayson cut his head open on a chair on Christmas, he got 4 staples in the back of his head. Mommy was freaking out the whole way to the ER. By the time his head stopped bleeding, he was up and running around again.
